Wood Fencing
Types of wooden fencing vary greatly. Privacy fences are typically 6 feet high and block the view of your yard from those around you as well as your view of adjacent properties.
Sound barriers often reach 8 feet high to keep road and other annoying noise away from your home.
Picket fences are usually shorter and have spaces between the boards to provide barriers to keep children an small pets inside while allowing you to enjoy the surroundings of your property.
Here in the Southeast, two types of wood dominate outdoor wood construction: Pressure Treated Pine (P.T.P.) and Cedar. Both are rot and bug resistant.
P.T.P. is usually more cost effective as it's readily available, produced and treated in the Southeast.
